Jr. Amerks Girls Program Celebrates its First Senior Class
The Rochester Jr. Americans Girls Program is celebrating a meaningful milestone: the graduation of its first senior class!
Members of the 19U Tier I Girls team were honored on Senior Night at Rochester Ice Center. This special group of women represents the first wave of players to complete their youth hockey careers in the Jr. Amerks Girls Program. Many have been with the Jr. Amerks since the inaugural season of our Girls Program. Over the years, each has played a key role in shaping the culture and growth of our girls’ teams, and we’re grateful for their contributions and their dedication.
Here are the accomplished members of our graduating senior class:
- Hailey Baughan, a student at Lansing High School, has played with the Jr. Amerks for two seasons. Hailey will attend St. John Fisher University next year, where she plans to study sports management and play DIII hockey.
- Catherine Crowley, a Mercy High School student, has contributed seven seasons to the program. She will continue her athletic and academic pursuits at Hamilton College, playing NCAA Division III hockey while studying economics.
- Eryka DeRocha, from Hannibal High School, has played three seasons with the Jr. Amerks. Eryka will play NCAA Division I hockey at Rochester Institute of Technology next year while studying exercise science.
- Lauren Garsin, a senior at Allendale Columbia, has been part of the program for four seasons. A multi-sport athlete, she will attend St. John Fisher University next year to play DIII hockey and golf while majoring in business.
- Sarah Hensel has played with the Jr. Amerks for six seasons. Next year, Sarah will continue her hockey career at the NCAA Division III level with SUNY Plattsburgh.
- Juliette Methot, a senior at Allendale Columbia, has been with the Jr. Amerks for seven seasons. Juliette will head to college next year and plans to major in biology on a pre-med track.
Congratulations to our first senior class! We know your futures are bright, and we can’t wait to see where life takes you next.
