ALUMNI ALERT: Sam Prokupets Drafted by Rochester Jr. Americans NAHL Team

Rochester, NY — The Rochester Jr. Americans are thrilled to celebrate another proud moment for our program as Sam Prokupets (’07) has been drafted by the Rochester Jr. Americans NAHL team.

A native of Honeoye Falls, NY, Sam played his foundational years with the Jr. Amerks, developing his two-way game and high hockey IQ in our system before moving on to Bishop Kearney Selects for his 15U through 18U seasons. His consistent growth and on-ice maturity have earned him recognition at the national level—and now, a spot with our NAHL junior franchise.

Sam joins a growing list of Jr. Amerks alumni making waves in junior hockey. Notably, he was a former teammate of Cooper Dennis, Matthew Judge, and Ethan Phillips, forming part of a core group that elevated the standard of play during their time in Rochester.

Being drafted by the Rochester Jr. Americans NAHL team marks a full-circle moment for Sam, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch him take the next step right here at home.

Congratulations, Sam! Your Jr. Amerks family is proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way.
