Ryan Kozara Selected for 2025 USA Hockey Boys National 16 Development Camp
The Rochester Jr. Americans are thrilled to recognize Ryan Kozara (2009) for his selection to the 2025 USA Hockey Boys National 16 Player Development Camp, an elite program that brings together the top youth hockey players in the country for a week of intensive training and evaluation.
Ryan is a proud Jr. Amerks alumnus who played multiple seasons on our 2009 AAA teams, where he stood out as a highly skilled and dedicated player. His development with the Jr. Amerks laid a strong foundation that has propelled him to new opportunities. Ryan will continue his hockey and academic career next season at Bishop Kearney Selects, one of the premier hockey development academies in the nation.
The USA Hockey Boys National 16 Camp will take place June 25 – July 1, 2025, at the Northtown Center in Amherst, New York. The camp is comprised of the top 2009-born male players who are registered with USA Hockey for the 2024–25 season.
Over the course of the week, players will experience a rigorous and highly competitive environment, including:
-
On-ice sessions with skill development, small-area games, and high-tempo drills
-
Off-ice training focused on strength and conditioning, team building, mental performance, nutrition, and classroom-based learning
The Boys National 16 Camp is not a tournament, but a carefully designed development and evaluation experience. It culminates in player assessments for potential selection to the U.S. Under-17 Select Team, which will compete at the Five Nations Tournament — a prestigious international competition for top players in this age group.
Ryan’s selection to this national camp is a clear reflection of his talent, drive, and continued progression as a player. We’re incredibly proud of Ryan and can’t wait to see what’s ahead in his journey.
Congratulations, Ryan — your Jr. Amerks family is behind you all the way!
