Rochester Jr. Americans Welcome Harrison Luce
Rochester Jr. Americans Welcome Harrison Luce as New Head Coach and Player Development Leader
We are thrilled to announce the addition of Harrison Luce to our coaching staff. Luce will spearhead the Intro to Hockey program and also play a pivotal full-time role in the player development strategy for our youngest skaters—a key area identified for enhancement to benefit players and their families.
Harrison Luce comes to the Jr. Amerks with a wealth of experience in youth hockey management and coaching. Previously affiliated with the Vegas Golden Knights organization, Luce managed the NHL’s Learn to Play initiative as Youth Hockey Manager before transitioning to Operations Manager at the team’s practice facility. His contributions were integral to the growth of the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights, where he not only coached but also advised on the program’s advancement.
Luce’s own hockey journey is equally impressive. He competed in Junior A hockey within the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) and concluded his active playing career at Salisbury School, leading his team to a New England Prep Championship in 2014.
In his new role with the Jr. Amerks, Harrison will be actively involved on the ice, coaching weekly sessions and participating in Level 2 jamborees. His year-round engagement will include leading regular season practices as well as conducting additional training sessions during the spring and summer months for players keen on further developing their skills.
With a dedicated focus on nurturing the talents of our youngest athletes, Harrison Luce is set to significantly elevate the developmental opportunities available to our players. We are excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to the advancements he will bring to our Intro to Hockey program.
