Alumni Update: Mason Maksymiu Signs with South Shore Kings
Mason Maksymiu, a native of Rochester, NY, born in 2006, has signed to play junior hockey with the South Shore Kings in the USPHL Premier league for the upcoming season.
Mason, a center, grew up playing on the Jr. Amerks AAA teams and also played varsity high school hockey for Penfield High School, from which he recently graduated. Over the past two seasons, he gained additional experience playing a few games with the Elmira Impact in the USPHL Elite league.
The South Shore Kings, based in Foxborough, MA, are known for their strong development program and history of advancing players to NCAA college hockey. Mason will be joining other Jr. Amerks alumni, ’06 Jed Smith and ’04 Kelly Maksymiu, on the South Shore Kings.
