ALUMNI ALERT: Cooper Dennis Signs with OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs
Rochester, NY — The Rochester Jr. Americans are proud to congratulate alumnus Cooper Dennis (’07) on signing with the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). A native of Ithaca, NY, Cooper played his youth hockey in our program through 14U, where he developed into one of the region’s top forwards and established himself as a high-character, high-skill player.
Dennis went on to play 15U for Bishop Kearney Selects, where he led the team in scoring and ranked 7th nationally among 15U AAA players with an astounding 124 points (59 goals, 65 assists). He continued his trajectory at 16U with the Long Island Gulls, delivering a standout performance at the USA Hockey Nationals with 6 points in 6 games.
Most recently, Dennis spent the 2024–25 season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL, tallying 34 points in 55 games and finishing with a team-leading +15 rating among forwards.
Though originally committed to the University of Michigan, Dennis has opted to play closer to home in the OHL thanks to the recent NCAA rule changes allowing CHL players to retain eligibility. His journey to Brantford reflects both his elite skillset and the evolving landscape of player development.
We’re proud to have been part of Cooper’s early hockey journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.
Congratulations, Cooper! Once a Jr. Amerk, always a Jr. Amerk.
