13O AAA TB TEAM (2012)

Group 223

Tim Finke returns to the Jr. Amerks after previously coaching with the organization from 2014-2022, working with players at all levels, from learn-to-skate through travel hockey, and coaching many of the program’s current 2007, 2008, and 2009 birth year players. Last season, he coached with Amherst AAA, further expanding his experience developing elite-level talent.

A Pittsford, NY native, Tim played AAA hockey in Rochester before competing for Pittsford Varsity, where he was a five-year member, team captain as a senior, and part of a sectional championship team. He was selected for the Monroe County Senior All-Star Game before continuing his career at Cortland State and later at ACHA Division I St. John Fisher College, where he served as team captain.

Tim is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach and has a strong background in skating instruction, having worked with Hockey Tech International in Toronto at just 15 years old. He was trained by renowned Soviet skating coach Yasha Smushkin, an influence that continues to shape his approach to player development.

Tim lives in Pittsford with his wife and two sons. Off the ice, he is the third-generation co-owner and President of Gypsum Systems Interiors, Ltd.
