Jeff Topor is a highly experienced and dedicated hockey coach who is returning as head coach for the 2011 birth year team next season. With many years of coaching experience under his belt, Topor has become a staple of the Jr. Amerks organization. Before joining the Jr. Amerks, he spent several years coaching in the Canandaigua Knights youth hockey organization, where he gained a reputation for his knowledge of the game and his ability to develop young players.

A Canandaigua native, Coach Topor has a deep appreciation for the sport of hockey, having grown up playing youth hockey in Canandaigua and Perinton. His passion for the game and commitment to player development has made him a sought-after coach and mentor.

In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Topor is an account executive with Cars.com and a proud resident of Victor. He is married to Jennifer and has two children. His family is an integral part of his life and he is dedicated to helping players and families balance the demands of hockey and life.

With his extensive coaching experience, unwavering dedication to player development, and deep understanding of the game, Coach Topor is poised to make a significant impact on the 2011 birth year team. He is committed to providing a positive, supportive environment where players can grow, learn, and succeed both on and off the ice.

 

Assistant Coaches:

David Insalaco brings a wealth of experience to the team as a parent volunteer. A former player at SUNY Brockport, he currently serves as the Associate Head Coach for the NCAA Division I RIT Tigers, contributing his knowledge and expertise to player development.

Jackson Barrett joins the staff with a strong background in player development. A former standout at Buffalo State (NCAA DIII), he has served as an instructor with the Janocz School of Goaltending and the Academy of Hockey at LECOM Harborcenter, bringing valuable expertise to the team.


Season Overview: 

Please note:  This is not a split season team.

  • Full Season with 50+ Game Independent Tier I AAA Schedule
  • Five tournaments including USHL America Cup to maximize players exposure
  • High School Friendly Approach
  • New York State 14U Tournament Bound
  • 3-Day Training Camp in August at Rochester Ice Center
  • Two team practices per week (Full and Shared) primarily at Rochester Ice Center and Genesee Valley
  • One Skills clinics by RIC Academy & NAHL Jr. Amerks per week
  • Goaltender clinics by New Edge School of Goaltending throughout the season
  • Weekly Off-ice training with Next Level Strength and Conditioning with progress monitoring throughout the season
  • Team building and community service events
