13U AAA (NYS 13U Tournament Bound)

Jeff Topor is a highly experienced and dedicated hockey coach who is returning as head coach for the 2011 birth year team next season. With many years of coaching experience under his belt, Topor has become a staple of the Jr. Amerks organization. Before joining the Jr. Amerks, he spent several years coaching in the Canandaigua Knights youth hockey organization, where he gained a reputation for his knowledge of the game and his ability to develop young players.

A Canandaigua native, Coach Topor has a deep appreciation for the sport of hockey, having grown up playing youth hockey in Canandaigua and Perinton. His passion for the game and commitment to player development has made him a sought-after coach and mentor.

In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Topor is an account executive with Cars.com and a proud resident of Victor. He is married to Jennifer and has two children. His family is an integral part of his life and he is dedicated to helping players and families balance the demands of hockey and life.

With his extensive coaching experience, unwavering dedication to player development, and deep understanding of the game, Coach Topor is poised to make a significant impact on the 2011 birth year team. He is committed to providing a positive, supportive environment where players can grow, learn, and succeed both on and off the ice.

13U AA1

Returning for another exciting season, Jon Obstarczyk is a highly experienced and dedicated hockey coach. As a Buffalo native, Jon's love for the game started at a young age as he developed his skills playing in the prestigious Buffalo Regals AAA program. His hard work and talent earned him a spot on the Saint Francis High School hockey team, where he honed his skills and excelled on the ice.

With over a decade of coaching experience under his belt, Jon has become an integral part of the Jr. Amerks program. He has served as an assistant coach with the 2007 AAA team for several seasons and has also made his mark with the beginner program, mites, squirts, and peewee teams. Jon's passion for coaching and developing young players is evident in his commitment to the Jr. Amerks program and the success of his teams.

When he's not on the ice, Jon is the proud owner of Father, Son & Associates Insurance Agency, with offices in Buffalo and Fairport. He lives in Penfield with his wife Jennifer, daughter Madeleine, and sons Tommy and Nick. With his extensive playing and coaching experience, Jon is poised to lead the next generation of Jr. Amerks players to new heights on the ice.

13U AA2

Greg is returning to the Jr. Amerks for another season, now as head coach for the 2011 AA2 team.  A Fairport native, Greg Wicker has been a part of the organization since it started as Perinton Youth Hockey in 1989. Growing up, Greg played AA hockey in the Perinton Blades organization where his team won the State and Northeast Championships as a Bantam. He played high school hockey for Fairport, followed by college hockey at Broome County Community College in Binghamton, NY.

Greg has several years of coaching experience with the Jr. Amerks. He started coaching with the Beginners program and then served as assistant coach for the House Red 8U team (2019-2020 season) and House Red 10U team (2020-2022 season).

Greg is the Director of Retail Sales for Menasha Packaging. He lives in Fairport with his wife Laurie, son Kellen, Daughters, Olivia  & Landyn. He plays men's league hockey at Rochester Ice Center and enjoys golfing and boating in the summer.

13U/14U AA Mixed Age Team

Jeff is set to lead the team for another season as head coach. Last season, as Head Coach of the 13U/14U AA Travel team, he spearheaded the development of a predominantly first-year travel player team, achieving significant growth. This accomplishment highlighted his adeptness in nurturing young talent.

With seven seasons of coaching experience within the Rochester Jr. Amerks system, Renelt brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He has earned the USA Hockey Level 4 Coaching Certification and the USA Hockey Bronze Goalie Certification and is progressing toward completing his USA Hockey Level 5 Coaching Certification.

Renelt's coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and resilience, aiming to inspire both on and off the ice. His dedication is a driving force behind the team's success and player development.

Empire house league teams

We will be offering several house teams for the upcoming season, competing in the local Empire Amateur Hockey Conference. Players are born between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011 are combined in the 14U Bantam age group.

Player evaluations are set for early April 2024 to determine team placements. The season kicks off in September, offering young players a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills and compete in a supportive and dynamic environment.
