12U AAA (NYS 12U Tournament Bound)
Returning for another season with the Jr. Amerks, Aaron Utberg is a talented and experienced coach with a passion for helping young players reach their full potential. A Geneseo, N.Y. native, Aaron has a deep connection to the sport of hockey, having grown up playing travel hockey in the Geneseo youth hockey organization since he was six years old. He also had a successful five-year career playing varsity hockey for the Geneseo Blue Devils high school team.
With several years of coaching experience under his belt, Aaron is well-equipped to lead and inspire young players. He began his coaching journey in 2015 with the Livingston Blues organization, where he worked with the 2012 birth year from their first steps in the beginner program at SUNY Geneseo. He also served as head coach for the Livingston Blues 8U Mite Red team and the Geneseo Ice Knights AAU travel team, where he developed a reputation for his ability to connect with players and bring out the best in them.
Living in Geneseo with his wife and children, Aaron is a dedicated family man who values the importance of balancing hockey and life. He is committed to creating a positive, supportive environment for his players where they can grow, learn, and achieve their goals both on and off the ice. With his extensive coaching experience and passion for the sport, Aaron Utberg is the ideal coach for the Jr. Amerks.

12U AA1
Mike Ferreri is returning to serve as head coach of the Jr. Amerks 2012 group. He has over 20 years of coaching experience and has been working in our program for years, coaching several midget travel hockey teams. Most recently he worked with our 4-8 year-old hockey players.
Mike is no stranger to coaching. He's been the head coach of the Victor High School varsity hockey team for the past 18 years. In his time with Victor, he's led the team to five Section V titles and the New York State championship in 2018. In 2013, Ferreri received the Compeer High School Coach of the Year award and has twice been named Section V League Coach of the Year.
A Buffalo native, Coach Ferreri played soccer, hockey, and baseball at Kenmore East High School before attending State University College at Brockport where he played baseball and is a member of the University's Baseball Hall of Fame.
Mike is a teacher at Victor Central Schools and resides in Victor with his wife and children.

12U AA2
Matthew Parker is a highly experienced and passionate hockey coach who is returning for another season with the 2012 group. A native of Clayton, New York, Parker grew up playing multiple sports, including hockey, soccer, and baseball at Thousand Islands Central High School. His love for the game and natural talent on the ice led him to pursue a college career in both soccer and hockey, playing at Clinton Community College and St. John Fisher College.
With over 15 years of experience coaching both boys and girls at Webster Youth Hockey and the Rochester Jr. Americans, Coach Parker has established himself as a leader in the hockey community. He has a proven track record of developing young players and helping them reach their full potential, both on and off the ice.
In addition to his coaching credentials, Coach Parker is also a devoted family man, residing in Fairport with his wife Karen and their three children. He understands the importance of balance and supports his players in their athletic and personal growth.

11U/12U AA Mixed Age Team
We are committed to assembling a 12U Mixed AA team for the upcoming season. The interest level has been notably high, and we are confident in our ability to select a roster of quality players capable of forming a competitive team. Long time coach, Mike Carbone has been named the Head Coach for 2024-25.

Empire house league teams
We will be offering several house teams for the upcoming season, competing in the local Empire Amateur Hockey Conference. Players are born between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2012 are combined in the 12U Peewee age group.
Player evaluations are set for Mid-March 2024 to determine team placements. The season kicks off in September, offering young players a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills and compete in a supportive and dynamic environment.
