11U AAA

Coach Greg Schwind returns as the coach for the Jr. Amerks 2013 AAA team, bringing a rich background in both youth and collegiate hockey coaching. His experience includes assistant coaching roles at The College at Brockport, the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and contributions to the Massachusetts Hockey Player Development Camp, among others. Schwind, who started his athletic career at SUNY Morrisville and later played for Penn State's club team, finished strong at Brockport, leading the Golden Eagles in scoring.

With a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Education from Brockport, Schwind now teaches math at Brockport High School, blending his passion for sports and education. His diverse coaching experience, from hockey to high school baseball, underscores his dedication to athlete development. As he steps into another season with the Jr. Amerks, Schwind's leadership is set to inspire and elevate the 2013 AAA team.

  • Full Season with 50+ Games including five tournaments
  • Independent Tier I AAA Schedule
  • Two team practices per week (Full and Shared)
  • One Skills clinics by RIC Academy & NAHL Jr. Amerks per week
  • Goaltender clinics by New Edge School of Goaltending throughout the season

Ryan Teeter returns to coach the Jr. Amerks 11U AA team, bringing valuable experience and a deep passion for hockey. With three years at the Jr. Amerks, Teeter has proven his ability to connect with young players and lead them to success, thanks to his effective communication and leadership skills. His background as a college player at Wittenberg University enriches his coaching, offering a player-centric perspective to his approach.

Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Wayne Central, Teeter applies his educational insights to coaching, emphasizing development and teamwork. Living in Penfield with his family, he's committed to fostering a positive environment for young athletes to thrive. Teeter's experience and dedication are set to drive the 11U AA team forward.

11U AA2

Coach KC Burritt, a Rochester native and former JuCo DIII hockey player, has grown into his role as a dedicated coach with the Jr. Amerks. Starting as an assistant coach for his kids' Mite teams, KC found his calling in coaching, contributing significantly over the past three years to the 2012 and 2013 AA2 teams. This season, he steps up as head coach for the second time, after a successful tenure with a 10U team.

Committed to developing both the hockey skills and character of his players, KC focuses on fostering a love for the game. Off the ice, he’s involved in hockey through podcasts and playing in men’s leagues. KC lives in Pittsford with his wife and two sons, who also play for the Jr. Amerks.

Season Overview:

  • Full season with 30+ Games plus tournaments
  • Member of Western New York Amateur Hockey League (Tentative)
  • Two team practices per week
  • Skills clinics by RIC Academy & NAHL Jr. Amerks throughout the season
  • Goaltender clinics by New Edge School of Goaltending throughout the season
  • Off-ice training with Next Level Strength and Conditioning (Optional)
  • Team building and community service events

Empire house league teams

We will be offering several house teams for the upcoming season, competing in the local Empire Amateur Hockey Conference. Players are born between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2012 are combined in the 12U Peewee age group.

Player evaluations are set for mid-March 2024 to determine team placements. The season kicks off in September, offering young players a fantastic opportunity to develop their skills and compete in a supportive and dynamic environment.
