19U Defenseman Sarah Hensel Selected for 2025 USA Hockey Girls National Development Camp

The Rochester Jr. Americans are proud to congratulate 19U Girls defenseman Sarah Hensel on her selection to the 2025 USA Hockey Girls 16/17 National Development Camp. This prestigious invitation is a testament to Sarah’s talent, work ethic, and dedication to the game — and an outstanding reflection of the Jr. Amerks program.

The Girls National 16/17 Camp, driven by AAA Hockey, will be held July 18–23 in Oxford, Ohio. The camp brings together 170 of the top female players in the United States, born in 2008 and 2009, for a week of elite-level training and evaluation. Participants will take part in a comprehensive player development experience that includes:

  • On-ice sessions featuring drills, small-area games, and competition

  • Off-ice programming such as strength & conditioning, team building, mental skills, nutrition, and classroom education

  • Exposure to top-level coaches and evaluators from across the country

While the primary focus of the camp is player development, it also serves as an evaluation opportunity for selection to the USA Hockey Under-18 National Festival, held later this summer in Lake Placid, New York. Approximately 46 players will be chosen to advance to the U18 Festival roster from across the national camps.

We are thrilled to see Sarah earn this opportunity and represent our Jr. Amerks family on the national stage. Congratulations, Sarah — your hard work and dedication continue to inspire!
