Mason Maksymiu Commits to Oswego State ACHA Division I Hockey

The Rochester Jr. Americans are proud to congratulate longtime Jr. Amerks player Mason Maksymiu on his commitment to play ACHA Division I hockey at Oswego State.

Mason’s hockey journey is a special one for our organization. A 2006-born centerman, he has been part of the Jr. Amerks family since his Mite years, developing through the program and growing into a player, teammate, and leader that younger players could look up to.

Along the way, Mason became a standout player for Penfield High School, helping continue the strong hockey tradition in his hometown while balancing the demands of high school hockey, travel hockey, and eventually junior hockey.

After graduating from Penfield, Mason spent the past two seasons competing in the USPHL. He began his junior career with the South Shore Kings, one of the premier organizations in New England, before continuing his development with the Boston Jr. Rangers, Elmira Impact, and Battle Creek Kernels. Over two seasons, he proved himself as a consistent offensive contributor and dependable two-way center while adapting to the challenges that come with junior hockey.

What has always stood out about Mason is his commitment to the process. Whether it was early morning practices, off-ice training, high school games, or long junior hockey road trips, he continued to put in the work and earn opportunities at the next level.

This fall, that work pays off as he heads to Oswego State to join one of the top ACHA Division I programs in the country.
