Jr. Amerks Honor Seven Seniors at Final Home Game of the Season
The Jr. Amerks paid tribute to seven outstanding seniors during a special pre-game ceremony at the Rochester Ice Center on Senior Night. The event recognized the players’ dedication to the organization and the sport of hockey as they complete their youth hockey careers.
The seven seniors, representing a combined 28 years with the Jr. Amerks organization, were individually introduced on the ice alongside their families. The ceremony highlighted each player’s contributions, favorite memories, and future plans.
- Dale Bissi (Fairport) played 9 seasons with the Jr. Amerks. He plans to attend SUNY Brockport to pursue a career in law enforcement.
- Sebastian Cottrell (Brighton) played one season with the Jr. Amerks. He plans to attend college and possibly play in an adult hockey league.
- Colin Dibble (Webster Thomas) played one season with the Jr. Amerks and plans to attend college next year.
- Caroline Finn (Homeschool) played five seasons with the Jr. Amerks. She plans to attend college for nursing and athletic training while volunteering as a firefighter.
- Ian Garlapow (Bloomfield) played five seasons with the Jr. Amerks. He plans to attend Clarkson University to study mechanical engineering and try out for the club hockey team.
- Oliver Gates (Fairport) played three seasons with the Jr. Amerks. He plans to attend Rochester Institute of Technology next year and major in engineering.
- Lloyd Fyfe-Lapage (Fairport) played 13 seasons with the Jr. Amerks. Next year he plans to pursue a skilled trade while continuing to play hockey for fun.
