ALUMNI ALERT: Matthew Judge Drafted by NAHL’s Danbury Hat Tricks

Rochester, NY — The Rochester Jr. Americans are proud to congratulate Matthew Judge (’07) on being selected in the 3rd round (77th overall) by the Danbury Hat Tricks in the 2024 NAHL Draft.

A Pittsford, NY native and standout defenseman, Matthew spent his early years developing in the Jr. Amerks program, where he quickly earned a reputation for his steady presence on the blue line and high-end hockey sense. His performance in Rochester set the stage for his progression to Bishop Kearney Selects, where he played from 15U through 18U, competing at the highest levels of AAA hockey.

Known for his poise, smart puck movement, and ability to defend against top competition, Judge’s game has continued to evolve—making him a highly regarded prospect in this year’s NAHL draft class.

He joins a talented group of Jr. Amerks alumni from the 2007 birth year, including Cooper Dennis, Sam Prokupets, and Ethan Phillips, all of whom played key roles together in our program during their formative years.

We are incredibly proud of Matthew’s accomplishment and look forward to following his junior career with the Hat Tricks.

Congratulations, Matthew! Your hard work continues to pay off—and your Jr. Amerks family is behind you all the way.
