15O AAA team delivered a strong showing at the NY State Championships

The Jr. Amerks 15O AAA team delivered a strong showing at the NY State Championships, narrowly missing a semifinal berth in a highly competitive field. The team earned a key win over the NY Dynamo, while battling hard in a tough matchup against Bishop Kearney and coming up just short in the final moments against the Westchester Express.

Throughout the tournament, the group stayed true to their identity—playing fast, structured hockey and competing hard in every shift. Their ability to stay composed and execute against top-level opponents was evident all weekend.

Head Coach Alex Economides reflected on the effort: “I’m proud of the way our group competed from start to finish. They played the right way, supported each other, and left everything on the ice. It’s a tough way to end, but this group showed what they’re capable of against the best teams in the state.”

The weekend served as another strong step in the team’s development, reinforcing the standard and preparing players for what’s ahead at the next level.
